Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is helping a well-established engineering consultancy in Dublin recruit a Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver mechanical building services from concept through to construction and handover.

The role involves collaborating with senior engineers and other disciplines, performing HVAC calculations, producing specifications and reports, and coordinating with clients and contractors to ensure compliant, integrated designs.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical building services design.
• Experience with HVAC, heating, ventilation, water services and drainage systems.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical building services and HVAC systems from concept to handover.
• Produce technical reports, specifications, schedules and design documentation.
• Review and coordinate drawings and BIM models with other disciplines.
• Liaise with architects, contractors and clients and attend coordination meetings.
• Carry out site inspections to monitor installation quality and compliance with the design.
