Job Specification: Marketing Intern – Vaccines Business Unit

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our Vaccines Business Unit in Dublin. This internship offers hands‑on experience across a broad and evolving vaccines portfolio, supporting work in HPV, pneumococcal and paediatric vaccines. Working as part of a collaborative cross‑functional team, the successful candidate will help deliver disease‑awareness, healthcare professional and customer engagement initiatives; support digital and data‑led marketing; and contribute to projects focused on vaccination uptake, tender readiness and launch execution. The role provides an excellent opportunity to learn how pharmaceutical marketing can support public health priorities while operating within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and execution of integrated marketing plans across HPV, pneumococcal and paediatric vaccines.
  • Assist with disease‑awareness and healthcare professional campaigns across digital, social, email, website, media and event channels.
  • Coordinate the localisation, development and approval of marketing materials, working with agencies and internal reviewers and supporting compliant workflows in Veeva PromoMats.
  • Analyse campaign, channel and customer engagement data; maintain trackers and dashboards; and translate findings into clear recommendations.
  • Conduct market, customer and competitor research to identify insights, trends, barriers to vaccination and opportunities to improve vaccine uptake.
  • Support pharmacy and healthcare professional engagement activities, including educational meetings, conferences, webinars and awareness initiatives.
  • Contribute to launch readiness, tender‑related workstreams and portfolio projects by coordinating timelines, actions, materials and status updates.
  • Prepare high‑quality presentations, reports, meeting materials and internal communications for the Vaccines team and senior stakeholders.
  • Support team planning and governance, including maintaining project plans, documenting actions, tracking budgets and helping monitor delivery against priorities and key results.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, Life Sciences, Public Health or a related field.
  • Strong interest in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, vaccines and disease prevention.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging content for different audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Teams.
  • Interest in digital marketing, customer engagement, social media, email marketing, websites and campaign measurement.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail and confidence working with data to identify insights.
  • Strong organisational and project‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative and comfortable working with colleagues from a range of functions and external agency partners.
  • Proactive, curious and eager to learn, with a commitment to ethical and compliant ways of working.
