Job summary

Haemonetics is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to contribute to the day-to-day manufacturing of high-quality medical devices at our Galway site, working within the Manufacturing Team under GMP and GDP guidelines.

The role requires 4 years of medical device manufacturing experience (2 in cleanroom) and strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail. ISO standards and regulatory compliance are emphasized, with a view to quality and throughput improvements.

Qualifications

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent minimum.
  • Third level academic qualification will be advantageous.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ medical device manufacturing experience (at least 2 year cleanroom based).

Responsibilities

  • Build sub- assemblies and finished devices, including packaging activities for testing and release.
  • Complete part and subassembly visual and dimensional inspections per procedures and standards.
  • Issue materials to the manufacturing line and set up equipment & fixtures.
  • Assist with Material Control System including inspections, issuance and tracking.
  • Prepare and execute in-process device testing and record results.

Job Details Overall Job Objectives The purpose of this job function is to engage in the day-to-day manufacturing of high quality medical devices. This will involve the tasks outlined in the Main Duties and Responsibilities below, while playing a supporting role to other functions within the company.

The Manufacturing Operator will work as part of the Manufacturing Team in the manufacture of innovative medical devices in accordance with the requirements of International Standards: ISO 13485, the FDA Code of Federal Regulations 21 CFR Part 820, Medical Device Directives 93/42/EEC and 2007/47/EC and the Vivasure Medical Quality Management System.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Build sub- assemblies and finished devices including packaging activities for testing, clinical investigations and commercial release.
  • Complete part and subassembly visual and dimensional inspection activities in line with documented procedures and standards.
  • Responsible for issuing materials to the manufacturing line, setting up equipment & fixtures on the manufacturing line.
  • Assist with management of the Material Control System including incoming inspections, part issuance and tracking.
  • Participate in training activities and become proficient in the required manufacturing and inspection activities in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of \"in process\" device testing and recording of associated results.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement in product quality and throughput and participate in the successful implementation of same.
  • Where required provide training and guidance to team members on building, inspection and testing of product.
  • Maintain compliance with released Work instructions and Procedures.
  • Complete written and soft copy quality records in line with GDP requirements.
  • Be dependable in coming to work, adhering to work and break schedules and meeting required quality and productivity standards.
Qualification Required

Work Experience or Training Required

Minimum of 4 years’ medical device manufacturing experience (at least 2 year cleanroom based) or equivalent. Demonstrated experience of GDP & GMP standards is advantageous.

  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks requiring dexterity and fine motor skills.
  • Demonstrate high level of initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective contributor with light level of supervision.
  • Proficient in use of desktop software e.g. excel, word – computer literacy will be advantageous.
Pay Transparency

The base salary actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account, without limitation, the candidate’s location, education, job-knowledge, skills, and experience in prior relevant roles. Incentives may also be provided as part of Haemonetics’ employee compensation. For sales roles, employees will be eligible for a sales incentive (i.e., commission) under the applicable plan terms. For non-sales roles, employees will be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, the target amount of which varies based on the applicable role, to be governed by the applicable plan terms. Employees may also be eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive plan, with eligibility and target amount dependent on the role. The Pay Range for this role is: €32,300.00-€43,700.00/Annual For Sales roles, the range reflects on target earnings, which includes both base salary and sales incentive target.
