Job summary

Cpl Healthcare in Galway seeks a Manufacturing / Design & Development Engineer I to join a leading medical device organisation on a 12-month contract. The role is fully onsite in Galway, with a 40-hour week and a salary between €41,000 and €51,000.

You will support manufacturing operations, drive process improvements, and work with R&D, quality, and production teams to ensure compliant, efficient processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and sustaining engineering support within a manufacturing environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and yield enhancement.
• Recommend and implement equipment, tooling, fixture, and process improvements.
• Assist in the development, optimisation, and transfer of manufacturing processes into production.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams to support new product introduction activities.
• Conduct process investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Support equipment installation, qualification, and validation activities.
• Develop and apply statistical process control methodologies where appropriate.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
