Job summary

Carne Group invites a skilled ESG Risk professional to join its Dublin ESG Risk team and help manage sustainability risks across funds. The role emphasizes SFDR compliance, regulatory reporting, and collaboration with fund stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

You will work on onboarding, SFDR disclosures, and developing frameworks aligned with evolving regulations, contributing to client delivery and business development from an ESG perspective.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in asset management with focus on Sustainability Risk or SFDR.
  • Experience with SFDR, Taxonomy Regulation and/or SDR in asset/management firms.
  • Knowledge of asset classes and portfolio holdings files.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess and monitor sustainability risks affecting Carne's funds.
  • Support onboarding and SFDR pre-contractual disclosures review.
  • Monitor SFDR limits for Article 8 and Article 9 funds and disclosures.
  • Develop and implement sustainability risk and SFDR frameworks.
  • Stay updated on ESG regulatory changes and SFDR 2.0.
  • Prepare presentations for internal committees and fund boards.
  • Liaise with investment managers, administrators and auditors.
  • Support client delivery and ESG-led business development.
  • Assist regulatory reporting on sustainability and SFDR.
  • Provide training to strengthen team capability.

Who are we looking for?

At Carne Group, we have a fantastic opportunity for an ESG Risk professional to join the growing and dynamic ESG Risk team in the Dublin office.

What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
  • 2‑5 years of experience in the asset‑management industry, with a focus on Sustainability Risk or SFDR
  • Previous experience of Sustainability Risk, SFDR, Taxonomy Regulation and/or SDR in an investment firm, a consulting firm, or a Management Company / AIFM
  • Professional qualification in an ESG‑related discipline is an advantage
  • Knowledge of asset classes and their sub‑categories and working with portfolio holdings files
  • Collaborative and solutions‑focused, with a willingness to support colleagues
  • Strong communication, analytical and project management skills
What is your role and your responsibilities?
  • Identify, assess and monitor sustainability risks affecting the funds managed by Carne
  • Support during the onboarding process in terms of ESG and sustainability, including review of the SFDR Pre‑contractual disclosures
  • Support on the monitoring of the SFDR limits of the Article 8 and Article 9 funds, including review of the SFDR periodic disclosures and breach management
  • Develop and implement sustainability risk and SFDR frameworks in line with the regulatory requirements
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes in terms of ESG and Sustainability risk topics and update the Sustainability and ESG‑risk frameworks accordingly, including SFDR 2.0
  • Prepare presentation for internal knowledge and for internal and external committees, including periodic report to Fund Board and Management Company Board
  • Liaise with fund’s stakeholders such as investment managers, administrators, auditors, etc.
  • Support client delivery and business development from an ESG perspective
  • Support on ongoing or ad hoc regulatory reporting in terms of Sustainability risk and SFDR
  • Provide training and coaching to strengthen team capability
