A family seeking a bilingual nanny for their two daughters aged 4 and 2, living in the Loiret region of France. The role involves overseeing daily care, organizing activities, and managing routines in a live-in capacity on the family's property. The nanny must be fluent in both French and English and comfortable around animals. Accommodation is provided, starting with a bedroom and later independent housing.
A French-American family of artists, living on a large estate in the Loiret region, is seeking a bilingual French/English nanny to join them from January 5, 2026.
The family consists of two parents and their two daughters, aged 4 and 2.
The eldest attends a nearby school from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
The youngest stays at home with the nanny throughout the day.
On Wednesdays, the nanny will be responsible for both children.
The nanny will oversee all aspects of the children’s daily care. This includes organizing a variety of fun and engaging activities to support their development, taking them on outings, managing their daily routines (scheduling appointments, accompanying them to activities, running errands related to their needs, etc.), handling their clothing and bedrooms, keeping their living spaces tidy, preparing their meals, bath time, and so on.
The nanny will work 50 hours per week, with exact hours to be confirmed.
Due to the parents’ professional commitments, the nanny may occasionally be asked to accompany them, particularly the mother, on trips. These trips are irregular.
This is a live-in position on the family’s large property, where the castle is currently being renovated. In January, the nanny will have a bedroom with a private bathroom within the family home. Beginning in March, she will be provided with her own independent accommodation on the estate.
It is essential that the nanny be very comfortable around animals. The family has a husky and numerous animals on the property (chickens, rabbits, sheep, ducks, etc.). These animals are beloved by the family and the children, who visit them daily.
A driver’s license is not required.
Please note that only EU passport holders or candidates who already have the right to work in France will be considered.
Start Date: 5th of January 2026
Hours: 50 hours per week
Languages: French AND English (fluent)
Driving License: Not essential
Accommodation: Live-in (see job description)
