Job summary

INDMANF in Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Technician to contribute to the maintenance activity in the plant. The role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical aptitude and an ability to implement preventive maintenance with PLC knowledge being advantageous.

Work with the Production and Maintenance teams to prioritise tasks, ensure compliance with safety standards, and uphold high housekeeping. Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient computer literacy and basic PC skills.
  • Hands-on aptitude in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical work.
  • Knowledge of electronics and PLC programming advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent time and attendance record.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Production department on maintenance issues ensuring all Plant and equipment is kept to the highest possible standard.
  • Establish and implement a Preventive Maintenance Program for all Plant and equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Prioritise the work involved to give the best return based on company targets.
  • Assist in the completion of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Reports with the Supervisor, Management and other relevant personnel in a timely manner.
  • Promote a teamwork culture within the facility.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is filled out as per company procedures.
  • Maintain and promote high standards in health and safety and housekeeping.
  • Identify Hazards and Risk, report and mitigate aligned with Company procedures.

Job description

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Overall Purpose & Scope:
This position will be responsible for contributing to the maintenance activity in the plant.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • A formal qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Be able to demonstrate hands on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of electronics and PLC programming would be a distinct advantage.
  • Demonstrate proven problem-solving skills.
  • Have an excellent time and attendance record.
