Job summary

KadroBuild Timber Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join its team at Coachford Business Park, Clonmoyle, Coachford, Co Cork. You will maintain and repair heavy and automated equipment used in timber frame panel manufacturing.

The role requires adherence to strict safety standards, the ability to work as part of a team and, when needed, to lead warehouse activities and provide guidance to colleagues.

Qualifications

• The candidate will hold and maintain all relevant and legally required certifications and authorisations for the role.
• The candidate will undertake additional training as required by statute or company needs.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to support manufacturing by assembling timber frame panels.
• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on heavy and automated equipment following safety standards.
• Repair and adjust machinery such as cross cutting saws, panel saws, pressing machines, gantry equipment, extractors, compressors and hand tools.
• Identify faults and replace components in cylinders, valves, pumps and compressed air networks.
• Execute the alignment of motors and transmission systems.
• Perform minor welding on the factory's metallic structures.
• Clean and tidy the factory to maintain a presentable warehouse.
• Practice workplace safety at all times.
• Any and all other duties reasonably required and appropriate to the role.

Salary: €36,605 p.a.
Hours: 39 hrs/wk

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team supporting the manufacturing function of assembling timber frame panels
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on heavy and automated equipment, following strict safety standards
• Repair and adjust machinery such as, cross cutting saw, panel saws, pressing machine, gantry equipment, extractors, compressor units, Combilifts and various hand tools
• Identify faults and replace components in cylinders, valves, pumps, and compressed air networks
• Execute the alignment of motors and transmission systems
• Perform minor welding services and repairs on the factory's metallic structures
• Cleaning and tidying of the factory to maintain a presentable and well-maintained warehouse
• Practice workplace safety at all times
• Any and all other duties reasonably required and appropriate to the role

Qualification/Certification

The candidate will hold and maintain all relevant and legally required certifications and authorisations associated with the industry requirements for the job and the nature of the work to be undertaken. The candidate will undertake all additional training from time to time whether required by statute or reasonably required by the company.
