Job summary

3D Personnel are partnering with a well-established food manufacturer in the Northwest to recruit a Maintenance Engineer. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing a wide range of production machinery, supporting preventative maintenance programs, and driving reliability across a fast-paced site.

You will collaborate with production teams to reduce downtime, improve performance, and uphold high safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification or completed electrical apprenticeship.
• Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance practices.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language.
• Demonstrated stability and longevity within previous employment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults across production machinery and automated equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Ensure accurate maintenance records are maintained for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.
• Assist with maintenance of site facilities and infrastructure.
• Work collaboratively with production personnel to prioritise and resolve maintenance issues.
• Maintain engineering stores and spare parts inventory.
• Support equipment training and safe operating procedures for production staff.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Food Safety standards.
