Job summary

Lohermore Farms Ltd is currently seeking to employ Maintenance Electricians / Fitters for its site at Cahir Farm, Loughloher, Cahir, Co. Tipperary. This is a full-time, permanent position.

The successful candidate will diagnose, repair and maintain electrical systems and farm machinery. Candidates should have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role, electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience, and the ability to work safely and independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience is essential.
• Ability to work safely and independently is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, control panels, lighting, feeding, drinking, and ventilation systems.
• Maintaining and repairing farm and mill machinery and equipment.
• Carrying out mechanical maintenance, including bearings, chains, gearboxes, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Performing welding and fabrication work as required.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns and downtime.
• Responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns and carrying out safe and effective repairs.
• Ensuring all work complies with Irish health and safety standards and farm biosecurity procedures.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance and safety records.
• Following all general safety procedures and protocols.
