Job summary

The Football Association of Ireland is seeking an LOI Academy Development & Support Manager to shape the future of academy development across Irish football. Working within the LOI Academy team, you will provide strategic leadership, operational support and guidance to clubs, driving continuous improvement and strengthening the League of Ireland Academy system.

Qualifications

  • UEFA A Licence or equivalent qualification and/or significant experience within elite player development, academy leadership, education or performance environments.
  • Experience supporting organisational improvement, strategic planning and development programmes.
  • Experience working with senior leaders and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to develop, implement and monitor strategic development plans and improvement frameworks.
  • Experience using data, performance insights and evidence-based approaches to support decision-making and evaluate impact.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly and work evenings and weekends where required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational support to LOI Academy clubs.
  • Drive implementation of academy development plans aligned with objectives.
  • Build relationships with clubs, senior leaders, and governing bodies.
  • Support governance, quality assurance, and safeguarding across academies.
  • Contribute to LOI Academy Mark development and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders on projects.
