Job Description
The Logistics Operations Specialist is a system-focused role responsible for driving inventory accuracy, coordinating complex transport logistics, and analysing operational performance. This role is crucial for process compliance, efficiency enhancement, and providing analytical support to the Logistics Operations Team Leader to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are consistently exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management & Systems Control – Oversee inventory accuracy through system‑based audits and reporting using WMS; monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests; analyse inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Order & Transport Coordination – Coordinate daily order fulfilment and dispatch activities; liaise with transport providers to plan delivery routes, optimise vehicle utilisation and resolve shipment delays; generate and verify shipping documentation.
- Process & Performance Analysis – Track and analyse key logistics KPIs, prepare weekly and monthly reports for management and highlight operational trends and improvement opportunities; support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, safety and cost‑effectiveness.
- Compliance & Safety – Ensure all logistics operations comply with company SOPs and Irish Health & Safety regulations; participate in internal audits and support corrective actions related to stock control and transport operations.
- Team Collaboration – Work closely with the Logistics Operations Team Leader to coordinate workload, allocate resources and ensure smooth daily operations; provide system and process support to warehouse and transport staff.
Requirements
- Experience – 12 years preferred in fast‑paced logistics, warehouse or supply‑chain roles; analytical/system control experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills – Proficient in WMS and Microsoft Office (Excel for analysis and reporting).
- Personal Attributes – Detail‑oriented, organised, analytical, proactive.
- Legal – Must have the right to work in Ireland and pass required background checks for airside operations, if applicable.
- Hours – 39 hours per week.
Compensation & Contract
Hourly rate: €17.49 per hour (≈ €35,464 per annum). Full‑time, 24‑month contract.
