Job Description

We are looking for a Logistics Associate Apprentice to assist with managing supply chain activities at the Spillane Group office in Sleenoge, Ballineen and Enniskean, Co. Cork. The role involves coordinating the transport and storage of products and materials, including receiving deliveries, preparing shipments, communicating with clients and carriers, tracking shipments, and managing inventory. Candidates must be able to maintain shipment records in digital databases and ensure timely deliveries, demonstrating strong organisational, detail‑oriented, and independent work skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments and verify rates.
• Receive incoming shipments and prepare outgoing shipments.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels.
• Develop and communicate shipment schedules.
• Liaise with vendors and carrier services to coordinate logistics and timelines.
• Assist customers and resolve shipment issues and complaints.
• Prepare and maintain shipment paperwork, records, and digital databases.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Applicant Must Meet One of the LAA Programme Entry Criteria

• H7/O6 or above in five Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) subjects, with a minimum of grade O6 in English and a minimum of grade O6 or B2 or above in mathematics.
• Hold a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in a cognate area (e.g., business, logistics and distribution, supply chain management, etc.).
• Eligibility for apprenticeship via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
