Job Description

Ms Catherine Mc Coy is seeking a compassionate and qualified Live-in Carer with a nursing background to provide dedicated, one-to-one care to an individual with multiple complex medical conditions in a private home setting. The role requires delivering high-quality, person-centered care while supporting the individual’s medical, physical and emotional needs. Candidate must be caring, reliable, kind, and trustworthy.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of care and provide continuous, one-to-one care tailored to the patient’s specific medical condition.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming and mobility issues.
• Monitor and report changes in the patient’s health condition.
• Assist with feeding and nutritional support where required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
• Provide emotional support and companionship and work in line with care plans and medical guidance from treating professionals as required.
• Meal preparation and basic cooking.

Confidentiality

Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient and company information. Ensure all records and information comply with GDPR requirements.

Essential Requirements

• QQI Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant healthcare discipline
• Ability to provide high-level care in a home setting
• Proficient in English
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable

• Minimum 2 year's experience caring for individuals with advance medical needs.

Additional Information

This role is strictly for care in a private home for a person with exceptional medical needs. Supporting documentation may be required as part of the employment permit application.
