Responsibilities

  • Examine global entity data to evaluate Alphabet's corporate footprint, support optimal organizational structuring, and implement legal entity policies across expanding Product Areas.
  • Execute legal entity data updates, manage operational workflows, and deliver progress reports on new setups and liquidations using the Alphabet Legal Entity Platform.
  • Apply established frameworks and protocols to manage legal entity life‑cycle from incorporation to elimination, while identifying gaps and improvements.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional finance and non-finance teams globally to facilitate entity setup, liquidation, and business expansion, partnering with stakeholders to resolve roadblocks.
  • Drive process optimization by identifying root causes, using technology to enhance accuracy and efficiency, producing timelines, status reports, and issue tracking.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Professional qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • 4 years of experience utilizing financial technologies and systems to execute tasks and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience in a controllership, accounting, finance or finance operations role.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with liquidations, Mergers and Acquisitions.
  • Experience implementing operational compliance frameworks or contributing to corporate governance frameworks and legal entity life-cycle policies within a multinational enterprise or complex regulatory environment.
  • Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation.
  • A solid understanding of Controllership process and systems and business enablement.
  • Collaborative style and ability to work with cross-functional and global teams at all levels.

As a part of this role, you will support the international controllership's mission to ensure that any Alphabet company can do business in any country. In order to realise this goal and operate in a responsible and controlled manner it is imperative to take a risk based approach and to align resources with jurisdictional and regional requirements. In this organisation, you will form an integral part of Alphabet's global controllership, work closely with global operations team, professional service providers, in-country business leaders, and the broader finance, tax and legal teams.

In this role, you will manage the Legal Entity processes that allow Google to expand and operate globally, as well as ensuring an optimal global corporate landscape. As part of the Legal Entity Governance team, your work will be a critical coordination point, directly supporting the creation of new legal entities around the world. In addition to this, you will be assessing the overall legal entity landscape to ensure any dormant entities are assessed for liquidation. You will partner closely with various business areas across multiple Product Areas including Finance Engineering, Controllership, and other finance and on finance teams across Google to ensure our operations and corporate landscape assessments run smoothly.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros.
