Job summary

CLS - Complete Laboratory Solutions in Ireland is seeking a motivated Lean Analyst to support projects that drive process efficiency, reduce waste, and improve KPIs across client sites. You'll work with an experienced Lean Consultant, gain on-the-job learning, and participate in workshops to develop expert lean consulting skills through formal training and hands-on delivery.

This role involves visiting client sites around Ireland during implementation and progressing toward a career in process

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Science or Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Support Lean Consultant in planning, coordinating and executing Lean projects.
  • Maintain organized client data, analyses and deliverables.
  • Assist in data-driven process analyses to identify opportunities.
  • Collect, organize and interpret data to inform decisions.
  • Participate in workshops and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead project and process teams in implementations.
  • Design process documentation, value stream maps, scheduling systems.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
  • Lead training workshops on Lean to internal and client teams.
  • Visit client sites around Ireland during implementation.

As well as analysis and testing at our commercial laboratories, CLS builds strategic partnerships with its clients to deliver a flexible and managed quality solution (Managed Resourcing) by supplying organisations with highly skilled, work-ready quality professionals on a temporary, project-specific, or long-term basis. This service can be provided at a CLS site or directly at the client's location.

Job Title, Summary & Reporting Line

We have an opportunity for a motivated and analytical Lean Analyst to join our team and embark on a career path in Lean with CLS. This is an exciting role designed for development of recent graduates or early-career professionals with a passion for. As a Lean Analyst, you will work with an experienced Lean Consultant, supporting projects that drive process efficiency, reduce waste, and improve key performance metrics across our own and our clients organisations. Through on-the-job learning, mentoring, and formal Lean training workshops, you will gain the skills and experience needed to have a successful career in lean processes.

What’s important
  • A qualification in Science or Engineering.
  • Strong analytical, reporting and communications skills, with an ability to process large amounts of data, and distill information into understandable insights at all organisation levels.
  • Confidence and ability to interview subject matter experts in data gathering tasks, and communicate insights to all organisation levels.
  • A passion for process improvement, problem-solving, operational excellence, thinking “outside the box” and a desire to develop into a process improvement professional.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to understand and interpret user needs for practical, successful implementations.
  • Ability to lead project team meetings through getting tasks completed to meet project deadline targets.
  • A good understanding of continuous improvement processes and change management.
  • Good systems capability with an understanding of where digital solutions can be effectively and sustainably leveraged to support improvement initiatives.
The Role
  • Support the Lean Consultant in planning, coordinating, and executing Lean projects for our clients and across internal departments as required.
  • Maintain coherent organisation of all client data, analyses and project deliverables in online shared folders, considering ease of access and retrieval.
  • Assist in conducting data-driven process analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collect, organise, and interpret data to inform decision-making and measure project outcomes.
  • Participate in workshops, improvement events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead project and process teams in implementations.
  • Design and produce process documentation, value stream maps, data analysis reports, physical and digital scheduling systems, standard work roles.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and monitor results.
  • Engage in structured training programs and self-development to build Lean expertise and consulting skills.
  • Lead and present training workshops on Lean to internal and client teams.
  • Regularly visit and work from client sites around Ireland as required during the implementation phase of lean projects.
Where you’ve come from
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean principles or process improvement is an advantage.
Who you are
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new methodologies, tools, and concepts.
  • Keen to research “best in class” practices solution concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with an ability to produce clear, understandable deliverables, with a “wow” factor.
  • Experience with data analysis tools is a bonus.
