An Irish energy utility seeks a Lead Project Manager to oversee capacity-constrained projects, driving them from conception to completion. The role includes developing innovative solutions and managing stakeholder relations. Candidates should have extensive experience in HV substation engineering and a strong understanding of project management principles. The position offers a salary between €71,000 and €84,000 per annum, along with a hybrid working model and commitment to career development.
The role of the Lead Project Manager (LPM) in the National Capacity Deployment team, entails leading restricted capacity projects from conception through to construction hand-over to the delivery team. To successfully accelerate restricted capacity projects through to delivery the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying solutions to release capacity in constraint areas of the network. Once the solution is agreed the LPM will be responsible for leading the development of TA’s, Technical Costing, Pre-CA design, CA, detailed design and ordering of material; utilising key stakeholders in each respective area (i.e. Network Planning Team, OE’s, EMP Pre-CA Design, External Design Contractors etc).
Limited Capacity projects due to their nature have ambitious delivery timelines and it will be the responsibility of the LPM to ensure that project KPI’s and critical path items are being achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
The LPM will be the single point of contact for all issues relating to capacity restricted projects to ensure appropriate plans are put in place to lift capacity restrictions, allowing for customers to connect to a secure and reliable system.
