Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking Senior/Lead Automation Engineers for Ireland-based pharma/biotech projects. The role focuses on technical leadership across DCS/PLC platforms, with emphasis on delivering design, commissioning, validation and handover.

We welcome candidates with strong leadership capabilities, experience in GMP/GAMP 5, and a track record of delivering brownfield or greenfield projects within pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Senior/lead automation engineering experience in pharma/biotech environments.
• Experience delivering projects from design through commissioning and qualification.
• Knowledge of GMP, GAMP 5 and computerised systems validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation projects from design through commissioning, FAT/SAT and handover.
• Mentor engineers and manage technical deliverables across teams.
• Collaborate with Process Eng, CQV, Manufacturing and Quality groups.

Are you a Senior Automation Engineer ready for a technical leadership role, or an established Automation Lead considering your next challenge?

European & USA Tech Recruit is keen to connect with experienced Lead and Principal Automation Engineers with a proven track record delivering complex automation projects within pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing.

We're particularly interested in engineers with strong technical leadership capabilities and experience delivering projects from initial design through commissioning, qualification and operational handover.

Key experience of interest:

• Technical leadership across DeltaV, Rockwell, Siemens or other DCS/PLC platforms
• Automation architecture and control system design
• Functional and detailed design specifications
• Automation project planning and delivery
• FAT, SAT, commissioning and qualification
• Vendor and systems integrator management
• GMP, GAMP 5 and computerised systems validation
• Brownfield upgrades, expansions and greenfield projects
• Mentoring engineers and managing technical deliverables
• Collaboration with Process Engineering, CQV, Manufacturing and Quality teams

Locations of interest: Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Carlow and other Irish pharmaceutical manufacturing locations.
