Job summary

Mercury Engineering seeks a senior Planning lead to own the planning lifecycle across projects and portfolios. You will develop, maintain, and analyse schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning phases, while leading schedule risk and performance reporting.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in large-scale construction or data-centre projects, expert Primavera P6 skills, and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years’ planning and project controls in large-scale construction or mission‑critical environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, able to develop and maintain detailed programmes.
• Strong ability in schedule risk, DCMA metrics, baseline control, and progress validation.
• Excellent reporting, dashboards, and progress narratives.

Responsibilities

• Lead planner across project/portfolio, owning full planning lifecycle.
• Develop schedules for pre-construction, construction, and commissioning.
• Manage EVM frameworks where required and report KPI trends.
• Audit site progress and ensure schedule reflects site reality.
• Prepare tender schedules and support lookahead planning.
• Oversee weekly workface planning with site teams.
• Contribute to tools, templates, and planning governance.
