Job summary

Test Triangle Limited in Dublin 18 is seeking a Principal OpenShift GitOps & Virtualisation Architect to own the platform lifecycle and governance across OpenShift estates. This hands-on role requires shaping deployment, upgrade and operation at scale using ACM, Argo CD and GitOps, with strong leadership across delivery teams.

You will review and mature existing GitOps implementations, define target-state operating models for container and VM workloads, and drive VMware-to-OpenShift migration

Qualifications

• 10+ years in platform engineering or infrastructure architecture.
• 5+ years hands-on OpenShift experience.
• Expert-level Red Hat ACM and OpenShift GitOps/Argo CD experience.
• Strong experience designing and operating multi-cluster OpenShift environments.
• Experience reviewing, rationalising and maturing GitOps implementations in large enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift Virtualisation and KubeVirt.
• Experience defining VMware-to-OpenShift Virtualisation migration strategies and operating models.
• Experience assessing application estates for containerisation and defining modernisation pathways.
• Strong understanding of GitOps governance, Policy-as-Code and platform lifecycle management.
• Experience designing disaster recovery and recovery orchestration models for OpenShift platforms.
• Ability to produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), standards and reference architectures.
• Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own automation, governance and platform lifecycle architecture for the OpenShift estate.
• Define deployment, upgrade and operation at scale using ACM, OpenShift GitOps and Argo CD.
• Review and mature existing GitOps implementation; define future-state operating model.
• Shape VMware-to-OpenShift Virtualisation migration patterns and application modernisation strategies.
• Provide technical leadership across GitOps, OpenShift Virtualisation, multi-cluster governance and platform automation.
