Job summary

You will manage multi-disciplinary design teams and coordinate with clients and contractors to deliver compliant, efficient solutions from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of post-qualification experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and a strong understanding of Irish regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years’ post-qualification mechanical design experience.
• Strong understanding of Irish electrical standards/regulations.
• Experience on projects in Ireland or the EU.
• Proficient with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and energy systems.
• Prepare and review detailed calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with regulations, standards, and sustainability requirements.
• Oversee project delivery from concept through to completion with high quality.
• Define project scope and budgets to ensure full development at concept stage.
• Support lifecycle stages from concept to commissioning.
• Attend design team meetings, workshops, and site inspections.
• Review submittals, technical queries, and value engineering proposals.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
