Job summary

LGC is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to lead scale-up, validation, and modernization efforts in a top-tier medical device manufacturing setting. You will drive CAPEX projects, automation initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver compliant, high-quality manufacturing solutions.

The role requires a seasoned professional with a track record in GMP/IVD environments, strong leadership, and excellent technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires an Engineering degree and extensive experience in regulated manufacturing.
• Over 10 years in controlled manufacturing settings (IVD/medical devices preferred).
• Experience leading scale-up, validation, and operational excellence projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing scale-up and capacity expansion projects.
• Manage full lifecycle CAPEX, equipment, and automation initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership for validation activities across projects.
• Support manufacturing workflows, equipment, and automation systems.
• Lead cross-functional programs from concept to handover and ensure on-time delivery.
• Resolve complex manufacturing, equipment, and quality issues with teams.
• Support introduction of new products, methods, and equipment into QC manufacturing.
• Ensure activities align with IVD, ISO 13485, GMP, and Quality Systems.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers and drive day-to-day technical leadership.
