Job summary

Orange Recruitment are seeking an experienced HVAC & Refrigeration Engineer to take ownership of maintenance and performance of critical building services equipment at a flagship Dublin site.

You will lead fault finding, optimise refrigeration, air conditioning and mechanical plant systems, ensure compliance and build strong stakeholder relationships while delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of site responsibilities.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Good understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements.
• Experience using CMMS platforms or digital maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC systems across the site.
• Conduct regular inspections and operational checks to ensure plant reliability and compliance.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose equipment faults and implement effective repair solutions.
• Serve and maintain a variety of HVAC equipment including air conditioning, heat pumps, VRF/VRV systems, chillers and associated controls.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, replacements and commissioning projects.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and compliance reports.
• Monitor plant condition and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in an on-call rota when required.
