Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience with hands-on leadership in UI/UX modernization.
• Deep expertise owning UI/UX architecture and engineering standards for React-based modernization.
• Hands-on experience with Figma and collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and engineers.
• Strong experience applying AI across the SDLC, including Claude, Copilot.
• Backend fluency with APIs, services, and security.

Responsibilities

• Own hands-on UI/UX modernization across the Micromedex portfolio, including design, build, review, and improvement of React screens and design-system implementation.
• Lead end-to-end from concept to shipped product, including interpreting Figma designs into production-ready code.
• Utilize AI-assisted design and engineering tools to explore UI options and accelerate UI-to-code workflows.
• Drive React modernization across legacy UI surfaces with reusable patterns and mobile-ready design.

We are hiring a Lead Engineer to help redesign and modernize the user experience across the Micromedex portfolio. This is a hands‑on, transformational technical leadership role for someone who can personally shape and build modern React product experiences while also influencing design direction, engineering standards, and delivery practices across teams. The role requires senior technical ownership, practical cross‑team influence, and deep hands‑on delivery, but not enterprise‑wide principal architecture accountability.

The role is UI/UX‑led, with a strong focus on reimagining clinician, pharmacist, and healthcare organization workflows through modern interaction design, React application modernization, responsive and mobile‑ready experiences, and faster translation of product ideas into intuitive product screens. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Management, UX Design, and Engineering to move from customer need and workflow concept into prototype, validated design, production‑ready React implementation, testing, release, and rapid iteration. They should bring practical experience using AI across the SDLC, including design exploration, code assistance, test generation, refactoring, prototyping, and delivery acceleration. Backend engineering and architecture remain important, but the immediate mandate is focused on improving the usability, consistency, accessibility, and delivery speed of the Micromedex product experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and be accountable for hands‑on UI/UX modernization across the Micromedex portfolio, including actively designing, building, reviewing, and improving React product screens, component strategy, design‑system implementation, responsive and mobile‑ready experience patterns, frontend standards, accessibility, performance, usability, and lifecycle management
• Spearhead the end‑to‑end approach for moving product concepts and Figma designs into shipped product at speed
• Use Copilot, Claude, Lovable, and other AI‑assisted design and engineering tools across the SDLC to rapidly explore UI options, generate and refine screen concepts, accelerate design‑to‑code workflows, create working prototypes, improve code quality
• Drive React modernization across legacy UI surfaces, including component architecture, state management, frontend performance, reusable patterns, mobile‑responsive design
• Ensure modern UI/UX experiences are supported by practical backend engineering fluency, including APIs, services, data flows, integration patterns, security, observability
• Support technical delivery for strategic healthcare partnerships, including Epic and other EHR partners
• Modernize APIs, mobile experiences, and integration patterns across RESTful APIs, FHIR APIs, SMART on FHIR workflows, authentication, authorization
• Partner deeply with Product Management, UX Design, Engineering, Clinical, Content, Commercial, Customer Success, and external partners
• Shape and estimate change across strategic initiatives, providing technical input to roadmaps, investment decisions, business cases
• Set and govern engineering standards for UI/UX development and lifecycle management
• Technically lead engineers, contractors, and delivery partners
• Contribute to the Micromedex modernization

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Human‑Computer Interaction, or related field
• 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including hands‑on technical leadership across UI/UX modernization, React application development, frontend architecture, AI‑assisted SDLC practices

Preferred Skills

• Expert‑level React capability, including modernization from legacy UI frameworks, reusable component libraries, design‑system implementation, mobile‑responsive product experiences
• Advanced experience using Figma and collaborative design workflows
• Practical experience using Claude, Copilot, Lovable, or comparable AI tools to accelerate UX exploration
• Ability to operate as a senior individual contributor and technical lead without people‑management authority
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership to contractor teams and external delivery partners
• Experience driving hands‑on UI/UX modernization, React framework upgrades, mobile‑ready product experiences
• Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, distributed systems, performance tuning, secure coding standards
• Experience with healthcare interoperability standards and EHR integration patterns including SMART on FHIR, FHIR APIs, OAuth 2.0
• Experience with content management systems, structured content models, DITA or equivalent
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes

The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base‑salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On‑Target Earnings.

Min – Max : €75,808.00 - €113,712.00 (EUR)
