Sigmar Recruitment is seeking an NPD Specialist in Galway to support development of innovative drug delivery systems within a cross-functional team. You will lead polymer synthesis, formulation development, and process optimisation for polymer, hydrogel, and particle-based technologies.

The role requires a strong materials science background with PhD preferred, and hands-on experience in drug delivery systems, CQAs/CPPs, and GMP-aligned development practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical development or drug delivery.
• PhD preferred.
• Strong materials science background.
• Experience with polymers, hydrogels, and drug-loaded systems.
• Familiarity with GMP or GMP-equivalent standards.

Responsabilités

• Lead development activities for innovative drug delivery systems.
• Conduct polymer synthesis and adapt procedures to CQAs.
• Develop and optimise formulations for polymer, hydrogel, and particle-based systems.
• Manage material preparation, formulation, manufacturing, and post-processing.
• Document and track development activities in line with regulations.
• Support technology transfer activities as required.
• Collaborate with cross-site teams and report to the Research Team Lead.
• Identify process improvements and troubleshoot challenges.
