Jobs Ireland Lead Climber:The RoleWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Climber to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading complex climbing operations, managing site safety, and directing ground staff to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to the highest industry standards. Lead, guide, and motivate a team of climbers and ground workers on-site.Conduct thorough site-specific risk assessments prior to commencing work.Ensure all work is carried out in strict accordance with industry health and safety guidelines and company policies.Operate and maintain chainsaws, woodchippers, stump grinders, and all climbing/rigging equipment to a high standard.Communicate professionally with clients on-site to ensure their requirements and expectations are met.Assist with the training and development of junior climbers and ground staff.Requirements & QualificationsExperience: A minimum of 4+ years of professional tree climbing experience.Licensing: A full, valid driving license is essential (trailer towing category [e.g., B+E / BE] is advantageous).Certifications: Must hold all relevant and up-to-date climbing and chainsaw tickets (e.g., NPTC / City & Guilds / Lantra certifications for aerial rescue, use of a chainsaw from a rope and harness, rigging, etc.).Excellent knowledge of tree biology, pruning techniques, and current arboricultural practices.A strong commitment to health and safety, with a valid First Aid at Work certificate (or willingness to obtain one).High level of physical fitness and stamina.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Provide company vehicle / high-quality PPE and climbing gear.A supportive, professional, and positive working environment.
