We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Large Capital Sales Specialist to lead sales efforts across our advanced surgical navigation, intraoperative imaging, and robotics portfolio in Ireland and Northern Ireland. This is a field-based, high-value sales role focused on complex capital equipment sales into public and private hospitals across both the HSE and NHS systems.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and solution seller, capable of navigating long capital sales cycles and influencing both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, including procurement teams, C-suite executives, and clinical champions.
This is a pivotal role within a growing and dynamic market, where Navigated surgery and robotics are rapidly shaping the future of spine and neurosurgery.
Since the assigned territory for this position is Ireland and Northern Ireland, we would prefer the candidates to be located in or near Dublin.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Develop and implement a territory strategy to grow market share and drive adoption of navigation, robotics, and imaging technologies in key hospitals across Ireland
Identify and target high-potential hospitals, surgical departments, and clinical champions
Maintain detailed account plans and commercial tactics for key tenders and opportunities Through CRM, forecasting, pipeline management
Own the end-to-end capital sales process from early-stage engagement through to hospital approval, capital justification, and deal closure
Build robust business cases, navigate HSE and NHS procurement frameworks, private hospital capital planning processes, and public tender submissions
Establish and maintain strategic relationships with Spinal and Neurosurgeons, theatre teams, biomedical engineers, procurement professionals, radiology, Med Physics and hospital executives
Lead & Coordinate product demonstrations, site visits, and capital evaluations to influence buying decisions in collaboration with clinical specialists
Serve as a key local contact point in Ireland for larger EMEA-wide initiatives or capital rollouts and work closely with all cross functional teams for a seamless customer experience
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of capital equipment sales experience in medical devices, ideally involving high-tech solutions such as navigation, imaging, or robotics
Demonstrated success in complex sales cycles and experience managing public procurement processes (including HSE, NHS NI, and private hospital capital committees)
Strong knowledge of the Irish healthcare landscape – including Health Service Executive (HSE), National Treatment Purchase Fund (NTPF), Procurex Ireland, and framework agreements
Strategic and consultative selling skills
High commercial and financial acumen
Strong communication and presentation ability
Resilience, drive, and ownership mentality
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex decision-making chains
Extensive travel across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland
Occasional travel to UK or European HQs for training and strategic alignment
Full driving licence required.
We would prefer if you hold Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. It would also be beneficial if you have existing relationships with surgical decision-makers and capital buyers in Ireland as well as understanding of clinical workflow in operating theatres and digital OR environments.
