Job summary

PE Global is currently recruiting a Lab Technician for a leading multi-national Pharma client based in Westport, Ireland. This is a contract position requiring analytical chemistry work and adherence to GMP/GLP standards.

The role involves performing chemistry analyses (in-process and final products), data integrity, and use of Empower and other lab IT systems, with monthly rotating shifts and a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Qualification in science required.
• Experience in GMP/GLP environment preferred.
• Experience with HPLC and GC.
• Proficient with Empower software.
• Strong understanding of data integrity.
• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemistry analyses of in-process and final products per schedule and regulatory requirements.
• Document testing activities, results and raw data accurately and legibly.
• Use laboratory IT systems including LIMS and Empower.
• Review and interpret test results.
• Adhere to safety, housekeeping and quality standards; notify discrepancies.
• Maintain good housekeeping and laboratory practices.
• Rotate shifts monthly and work with team and managers to ensure QMS compliance.

Job description

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Lab Technician for a leading multi-national Pharma client based in Westport.

This is a contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Chemistry analysis of In process / Final product as per schedule and in accordance with regulatory requirements. Also perform analysis on Stability samples from a wide range of products
• Documenting all testing activities, results and raw data on time, accurately and legibly
• Use of laboratory IT systems including LIMS and Empower
• Reviews and interprets test results
• Adhering to all company standards in the areas of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies
• Ensure good housekeeping and good laboratory practices
• Rotating shifts monthly
• Work with team, Supervisors, Quality Manager and Laboratory Manager to ensure compliance to Quality Management System

Requirements:

• 3rd Level Qualification in a Science Discipline, preferably Chemistry related.
• 1-2 Years' experience working as an Analyst in a GMP/GLP environment.
• 1-2 Years' experience of working with a range of Analytical Equipment specifically HPLC and GC and well as other laboratory techniques.
• Experience and good knowledge of Empower.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Data Integrity from Laboratory perspective.
• Excellent communication, organization, time-management and teamwork skills
• Demonstrate ability to work on one's own initiative.
