Lead the lab, shape the strategy-join us as a Laboratory Manager and elevate pharmaceutical excellence!

R&D Partners is seeking a highly experienced Laboratory Manager - Chemistry to lead and manage laboratory operations within a pharmaceutical environment. This role focuses on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and strategic expansion of laboratory capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop testing processes and infrastructure for the laboratory.
  • Lead laboratory design, setup activities, and team management.
  • Manage method and specification-related change controls.
  • Oversee investigations and technical transfer programs.
  • Manage contract laboratory testing on behalf of the organization.
  • Liaise with regulatory departments and authorities regarding lab requirements.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure smooth operations and compliance standards.
  • Develop next-level leadership in QC-ARD and support cross‑functional teams for strategic site expansion.
  • Strategically expand inhalation lab capabilities by working with external partners in India and the US.
  • Support the Head of Quality in expanding quality control operations at the Cashel site.
  • Identify processes to streamline efficiency, optimize resources, and manage budgets within the quality control organization.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs throughout the year.>
Key Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory environment.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience at the managerial level.
  • Thorough understanding of business operations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong coaching and team development abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills for conducting training.
  • Proficient presentation skills for effective training programs.
  • Strong administrative skills to manage training content and maintain records.
  • Experience in conducting internal audits.
  • Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
