Job summary

The Fleet Hotel in Dublin is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the Head Chef and kitchen team. You will help maintain cleanliness, manage deliveries, and ensure proper storage and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Flexibility with working hours is essential.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• To assist the catering/catering team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in accordance with Food Hygiene Legislation
• Have responsibility for all cleaning duties within the food operation and also manage returns from the food outlets
• Follow a cleaning schedule and carry out tasks as directed by Senior Chefs
• Work to an agreed standard of hygiene practice as contained in the Kitchen HACCP manual
• To put all deliveries away and to ensure that they are transported to the appropriate storage area
• Operate equipment safely and to ensure it is in good working order
• Maintain all storage areas with regard to temperature, ventilation and cleanliness.
• Help ensure that all food items are stored under the correct conditions according to food type
