Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Job Description
Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

There will be opportunity to work towards QQI and /or Industry Standard qualifications.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen
  • Menu Planning
  • Preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring that all dishes meet quality standards
  • Maintain inventory levels
  • Maintain a clean kitchen in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • To assist in the provision of day centre services and activities with service users as required
  • Supporting service users and personal care if required
  • Assist service users on outings
  • Operating lifting equipment on buses
  • Clamping wheelchairs aboard buses
  • Cleaning/maintenance duties
Ideal candidate
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • A willingness to engage in training and to complete the mandatory training courses
  • A sufficient level of English to ensure clear communication with service users
