Job description
Careers in care for everyone

Dovida Caregivers provide a variety of non-medical home care services which support, empower and uplift people, and help them to remain living at home.

As a Dovida caregiver, you’ll provide essential support to ageing adults and people living with disability in their own homes.

These services are person-centred, tailored to clients’ requirements, and delivered on flexible schedules.

As Ireland’s largest and longest-established home care company, we have a team of 4,000 Caregivers working all over Ireland, and we are committed to recognising and showing our frontline staff.

Job Opportunities
  • Full-time Caregivers: We have full-time opportunities for people who would like to make a career in care with Dovida. We offer full training and support, as well as ongoing training opportunities for personal and professional development.
  • Part‑time / flexible positions: Dovida offers flexible opportunities in care. You can work part‑time, in the mornings, afternoons, evenings or at weekends. This means you can balance your work around other commitments, such as family life, study or other jobs.
  • Live‑in Caregiver: We have live‑in opportunities throughout Ireland for Caregivers who share our values and are passionate about delivering high‑quality care. As a Live‑in Caregiver, you will reside in the home of the person you are caring for.
  • New to home care: Many people join Dovida from other jobs. Whether you work in retail, hospitality, or in another care sector, as long as you have a kind and caring heart, we may have a role for you.
  • Students / Student Nurses: Students enjoy working with Dovida because the flexible hours available mean they can work around their study commitments. Student nurses can gain practical experience by caring in the community.
  • Vocation for care: People can develop a vocation for care for many reasons – they may have a natural love for helping others, or perhaps they looked after a friend or family member and decided to make a career in care.
Benefits of Joining Dovida
  • Competitive rates of pay, with higher rates at weekends and bank holidays
  • Free and subsidised training
  • Clear career progression opportunities
  • Flexible schedules which match the Caregivers’ availability and requirements
  • Strong support and 24/7 back‑up from their local office team
  • Opportunities for personal and professional development
  • Access to Caregiver appreciation activities, including regular awards
  • Regular expressions of thanks via gifts and gratuities
