Job description

Ayrton Group have a requirement for a Junior Health and Safety Advisor in the Cork region, working with our client who are a leading building technologies and energy solutions company.

This position will involve visiting various pharmaceutical sites within the Cork region weekly.

This role offers an initial 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension. Vehicle included.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all current legislation, including codes of practice and relevant standards. Assist in the maintenance of the company legal register.
  • Review and implement Health & Safety management procedures.
  • Review and implement client Health & Safety standards & procedures.
  • Review and implement Construction Health and Safety Plans.
  • Arrange, prepare, and carry out site inductions.
  • Update and maintain all records associated with the Health & Safety management system.
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements as required.
  • Review and comment on Subcontractor RAMS.
  • Provide monthly HSQE report.
  • Arrange, co‑ordinate, and minute site Health and Safety meetings and capture action plans.
  • Support the investigation of accidents and dangerous occurrences, maintaining proper records and complying with and reporting to relevant bodies.
Key Qualifications
  • Recognised qualification in Health and Safety, or similar.
  • 1+ year experience within the Health & Safety construction industry.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
