Job summary

Mercury seeks a Junior Electrical QA Engineer in Clare, Ireland to support zero-defect project delivery. You will implement and maintain the QMS, conduct inspections, and collaborate with engineering and operations to meet stringent client requirements.

You will lead QA documentation, participate in root-cause analysis, and apply Lean/Six Sigma methods to drive continuous improvements within the project team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and standards.
• Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and KPI development.
• Experience with internal audits, corrective/preventive actions, and compliance documentation.
• Familiarity with calibration systems, test plans, and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight
• Implement and maintain the Mercury QMS in compliance with Mercury SOPs
• Assist in the development of project-specific QA work procedures
• Assist in the development of project-specific ITPs
• Hold Quality Induction Workshops to promote awareness of project requirements
• Work closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams
• Conduct and record surveillance / in-progress inspections of all project work
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEC, IEEE) and customer/regulatory requirements
• Conduct audits and inspections of electrical products and systems
• Prepare and verify quality documentation, including inspection reports and certifications
• Conduct and record final inspections on all project work
• Develop and monitor KPIs to drive quality improvements
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies to optimize processes

Scope Of The Role

As an Electrical QAQC Engineer you are required to help in the delivery of a zero defect / zero rework projects. Our quality goal is “Zero snags at the time of handover to our client”. You are required to help deliver your department goals in a forward looking and controlled manner.
