A leading construction firm in County Galway is seeking a Site-Based Construction Project Engineer to ensure the successful delivery of mechanical and electrical packages. This role involves overseeing installations, managing technical documentation, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering and experience in construction environments. The position offers an opportunity to lead site activities and drive continuous improvement.
As a Site-Based Construction Project Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the successful delivery of mechanical and electrical packages on our construction projects. On a day to day functional basis you will report to the Project Manager and support the coordination, planning, and execution of on-site activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as the technical interface between design, procurement, and site teams, managing engineering documentation, supporting subcontractor activities, and resolving technical queries that arise during installation and commissioning phases. This role is hands-on, with a strong presence on site, requiring active engagement with tradespeople, foremen, supervisors, and other contractors.
You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with design specifications, health and safety regulations, and client requirements, while contributing to the continuous improvement of installation practices. Your work will have a direct impact on project delivery, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
