Job summary

Right at Home Ireland is seeking Health Care Assistants to support clients in their own homes across Dublin South West. Roles are available full-time and part-time within CHO7 areas, with induction and ongoing training provided.

We welcome both experienced carers and those currently studying care qualifications. You will work with a dedicated local team to deliver compassionate, person-centered care in the community.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 modules: Care Skills and Care of the Older Person.
• Current People Moving and Handling certificate not required at application; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and practical care per client care plans.
• Support independence and community participation.
• Assist with daily living activities: personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and social support.
• Respect client dignity, privacy and preferences.
• Report concerns or changes in condition to management.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Ireland.

Qualifications and Training Requirements

Applicants must have completed, or be currently studying towards, the following QQI Level 5 modules:

• Care Skills

• Care of the Older Person

Students currently completing these modules are encouraged to apply.

A current People Moving and Handling certificate is not required at the application stage, as the necessary training can be provided.

International Police Clearance will be required where applicable.

As a Health Care Assistant, you will:

• Provide companionship and social support

• Treat every client with dignity, privacy and respect

• Report concerns, incidents or changes in a client’s condition to management

• Follow company procedures and maintain high standards of care at all times
