Job summary

Irish Country Meats, the ABP Group’s sheep meat division, invites applications for an IT Support Officer based at our Camolin facility in Co. Wexford. You will support computer systems, networks and end-users across sites, with opportunities to travel for training.

Ideal candidates hold an IT qualification Level 6+ and are proficient with Windows and common applications, with strong communication and organisation skills. This is a permanent, day-shift role with on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Willing to travel to different sites for training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot the computer systems and networks in the organisation.
• Install and configure computer systems.
• Provide technical support to all staff, factory staff and office staff.
• Be able to perform basic hardware, printer and workstation repairs.

The Role:

To facilitate the continuing growth and development of our business we are seeking to appoint a I.T Support Officer to join our existing team. Based in our facility in Camolin, Co. Wexford, this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their career in an established and very successful food processing company.

The skills required are:

• IT Qualification of Level 6 or above
• Must be proficient in computer applications and windows software packages
• Good communication and organisation skills
• Able to work under pressure as ABP is a fast paced organisation
• Take ownership of issues
• Willing to travel to different sites for training purposes
• A flair for technology and computing

Responsibilities would include:

• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot the computer systems and networks in the organisation
• Install and configure computer systems
• Providing technical support to all staff, factory staff and office staff
• Be able to perform basic hardware, printer and workstation repairs

The successful candidate must have a keen interest in computers, software packages and hardware.

Experience in a similar role an advantage but not necessary as full training will be given.
