Job description

Location: Dublin, IE

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of investment strategies for unit-linked funds working closely with asset management and portfolio construction teams.
• Conduct macroeconomic and market analysis to support tactical and strategic portfolio allocation decisions, ensuring alignment with risk-return objectives.
• Monitor fund performance against benchmarks, identifying underlying financial drivers and proposing corrective actions to optimize returns.
• Manage relationships with external asset managers, participating in selection processes and mandate reviews to ensure best-in-class investment execution.
• Collaborate with the Finance Team to ensure consistency between trial balance accounting data and fund valuations, providing high-quality information for strategic decision-making.
• Prepare reports and materials for senior management, presenting recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Required Experience and Qualifications

5 -10 years of experience in Investment Analysis or Fund Management roles within Unit-linked or Insurance environments.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of financial markets, key investment instruments, and macroeconomic trends.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CFA or similar) completed or in progress.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and financial modeling.
• Strategic investment thinking and analysis of financial performance drivers.
• Ability to translate market insights into operational fund strategies, risk-return based decision making and portfolio optimization.
• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail in investment research and recommendation processes.
• Familiarity with systems such as SOFIA or SimCorp advantageous.
• Knowledge of Italian language is not essential but very advantageous.
