Job summary

Fitzgerald Power in Waterford City is seeking ambitious interns to join our Accounting and Tax teams. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals on real client projects, gaining hands-on experience from day one while contributing to meaningful work across audits, management accounts, tax and financial reporting.

You’ll develop practical skills, learn to interpret data and prepare reports, and build client relationship management and professional competencies in a supportive, mentored

Qualifications

  • Currently studying for a degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance and interest in professional qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with audits, management accounts, tax, financial reporting and advisory work.
  • Develop financial reporting and analysis skills while interpreting data for client decisions.
  • Support client relationships and learn accounting systems and technology.
  • Receive ongoing mentoring and feedback to support development.

The Internship

You’ll work closely with experienced professionals to deliver high-quality accounting services to clients across a range of industries. Depending on your team, you’ll gain practical exposure to:

  • Audit
  • Management accounts
  • Tax
  • Financial reporting
  • Accounting and advisory services

You’ll also gain experience with modern accounting technology, includingdigital systems, automation and AI-enabled tools that are transforming professional services.
