One of Ireland's most respected and high-profile engineering consultancies is expanding its Building Services team. With a reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions, they are now seeking Electrical Engineers at Intermediate to support a wide range of high-value projects across Ireland, with a strong focus on the South-East/Cork region.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, multidisciplinary projects from early concept through to handover, across sectors including Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Education, Pharma, and Industrial. You'll be joining a firm known for technical excellence, collaboration and career progression.

Note: Building Services experience is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver electrical building services solutions aligned with Irish Building Regulations and relevant industry standards.

Lead and/or support the preparation of technical specifications, layouts, and design calculations for electrical systems (LV/MV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, etc.).

Evaluate design concepts and optimise for performance, efficiency, and sustainability.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams-including mechanical, structural, and sustainability engineers.

Prepare tender packages, review submissions, and support procurement processes.

Carry out site inspections, commissioning support, and technical reporting.

Assist in project planning, budgeting, and resource coordination.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development within the team.

Participate in design reviews and liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

3-5 years' post-graduate experience in electrical design within the built environment.

Strong working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, TGD Part B, and international codes.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and lighting/power software such as Dialux, Relux, and Amtech.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
