Ornua Co-operative Limited is seeking an Integration/EDI Developer to support, build and document integrations between Ornua and its partner network, internal business units and key applications such as Salesforce, Azure, Infor M3, and TPM. Ornua is a leading dairy co-operative which sells premium dairy products globally on behalf of its Member Co-operatives, Ireland’s dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers.

Ornua has revenues of €3.4 billion and is supported by a global team of approximately 2,800 employees. The Group operates as a commercial organisation across 10 business units, including 12 production facilities located in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.

The commercial organisation is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Ireland’s most successful food export: Kerrygold. Consumer markets are served by production facilities in Ireland, Germany and the UK and by in-market Sales & Marketing Teams in Asia, Germany, Ireland, MEA, Poland, Spain, rest of Europe and North and Latin America.

It also manages the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products, the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers globally, and the implementation of de-risking and trading strategies to manage market volatility. These activities are supported by production facilities and in-market teams in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.

WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE:

The Integration/EDI Developer will be responsible for supporting, building and documenting Integrations and Interfaces between Ornua and its wide and disparate partner network (e.g. customers, members, suppliers, banks, warehouses, freight/haulage providers and regulatory bodies), between internal Ornua business units and between our best of breed applications (e.g. Salesforce, Azure, Infor M3, TPM). They will ensure high visibility of these processes allowing users to understand and troubleshoot errors. They will exploit the extensibility layer of our ERP and other applications to develop high quality interfaces.

The Integration/EDI Developer will report to the Integration Lead within the Digital & Applications Team and in addition to Integration Development they will support other functions within the Digital and Applications Team, especially ERP and Enterprise Applications.

They will engage with business users, process owners and other business analysts to develop business requirements and translate these into technical deliverables across the Ornua group. This is an ideal role for a technical and data orientated individual who enjoys strong business engagement.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Supporting and driving the delivery of Integration projects through their entire project lifecycle. This includes gathering of business requirements, solution and technical design, development and testing and implementation.
• Maintenance of existing Integration landscape – troubleshooting errors, liaising with business users, improving user visibility, documenting solutions
• Developing solutions and interfaces using Java/XML based extensibility tools such as Infor M3 MEC and IBM Sterling B2Bi
• Onboarding partners - understanding and implementing partner specifications and testing tools – engagement with partners during and after this process and developing relationships with key partners and colleagues across our network
• Engaging with business leads and PMO team to develop a deep understanding of business requirements and translate these requirements into technical deliverables and plans which meet business needswhile also following the agreed Global governance processes. Identify areas for process improvement and redesign and develop IT solution proposals to address these opportunities.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a similar field.
• Minimum Intermediate knowledge of Java and XML technologies
• Some experience of Integration Technologies such as APIs/mapping
• High level of integrity, passion, self-motivation and analytical skills.
• Strong team player and organisational abilities.
• Fluency in English

OPTIONAL/DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps
• Experience with integration or middleware tools (e.g. IBM/Sterling B2Bi or Azure Logic Apps or similar). Experience with architecting business processes, data requirements and integrations with other applications
• Experience with Integration technologies such as EDI VANs, sFTP, AS2, APIs, mapping, PGP
• Web/Interface Development skills (especially Java/JSP)
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs
• Experience with other applications in our Global portfolio would be an advantage:
• ERP application (e.g. Infor M3 and extensibility apps like MEC/IEC)
• BI application (e.g. Power BI)
• Technical competence in enterprise report development, data analytics tools, BI, ETL, SQL
