Eligibility to participate in CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more, or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Job Description

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Responsibilities
  • Support people with an intellectual disability in training and the development of skills including horticulture, cookery, arts and crafts and woodwork.
  • Support students in becoming active participants in their local community.
  • Assist with class work and all work taking place in the Centre, including maintenance of infection prevention and control measures.
Training Provided
  • Mandatory Ability West Internal Training.
  • Specific training tailored to meet your career needs.
Requirements
  • Garda Vetting will be required for this role.
  • Must be in receipt of a Social Welfare Payment.
