Job summary

KPMG Ireland is seeking an Infrastructure Advisory Economist to join our Dublin, Cork or Belfast teams on a hybrid basis. You will apply economic concepts to advise on major infrastructure investments and government policy decisions, collaborating across government and private sector clients.

The role requires a strong economics background, 7 years in economic analysis, and experience in transport, energy, utilities or broader infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Public Policy or similar.
• 7 years of experience in economic analysis (government, consulting or in-house).
• Experience in Transport, Energy, Utilities or infrastructure sectors.
• Ability to develop bespoke economic analysis for investments or policy.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure Guidelines/Green Book or similar guidance.
• Interest in Power BI, Stata or GIS for robust analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on diverse infrastructure projects and policy decisions.
• Develop bespoke economic analysis and Excel-based models.
• Draft and present reports in PowerPoint and Word.
• Coordinate with internal and client managers to meet milestones.
• Contribute to thought leadership and market insights.
• Ensure adherence to KPMG quality and risk procedures.
