Future Robotics Ltd is an automation startup in partnership with FoodVillage. We have 2 products coming to market early next year and are excited to grow our small team. If you enjoy problem solving and being a part of a company with big plans and a groundbreaking new product please get in touch.

Role Description

You will be involved in the final stages of testing and integration of our new patented automated food delivery system which has been in development for the past two years. Our machines are in the final stages of assembly and you will be working to optimize, troubleshoot and improve upon the current code to ensure the machines reliability and optimal operation. You will be in collaboration with our current engineer and going forward would be in charge of the controls and automation of our next product(s) which are already in development and will be arriving in our workshop in the coming weeks.

This is a temporary role, with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Must have:

  • PLC Programming (LD, FB, ST)
  • Machine sequencing and safety logic
  • Troubleshooting and debugging
  • Ability to modify and expand existing logic
  • Schneider Platform experience (EcoStructure Machine Expert, Modicon M221/M241/M251 PLC's, Lexium/Altivar drives, Modbus Communications)

Must have understanding and experience of the following:

  • Servo tuning
  • Position/speed control modes
  • Homing routines
  • Fault Diagnostics
  • Motion Safety
  • Running machine sequences while being a part of all aspects of the testing process.
  • Sensor and I/O validation
  • Drive fault resolution

Advantageous skills but not essential:

  • Verifying wiring
  • Diagnosing electrical faults
  • Safety circuit validation
  • General hands on experience and adaptive mindset.
The salary range for this role is 40-45k depending on experience.
