Job summary

Primark is seeking an Indirect Tax Senior Manager to lead transformation and digital compliance across multiple European markets on a 12 month FTC. The role blends strategic tax expertise with project leadership, reporting to global tax leadership and partnering with cross-functional teams.

You will own indirect tax data, drive automation, and ensure VAT, sales tax and fiscal requirements are embedded in business processes and systems. This role offers exposure to high-energy retail operations.

Qualifications

• Qualified tax professional with 10+ years’ post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical expertise in indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience leading tax technology, digital reporting, e-invoicing or fiscal compliance transformation programmes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex tax issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transformation of indirect tax and fiscal compliance processes across global markets.
• Design and implement a reconciliation framework for VAT data and reporting.
• Drive automation to improve accuracy, auditability and efficiency of tax reporting.
• Provide strategic oversight for indirect tax reporting across EMEA and other jurisdictions.
• Champion digital reporting and tax data governance across platforms.
