Beacon Hospital in Dublin is seeking a Health Care Assistant for the Intensive Care Unit. The role involves providing technical assistance and compassionate patient care across assigned areas, under the ICU nurse manager’s oversight.

Responsibilities include personal hygiene, feeding, mobility support and adherence to infection control standards. The post requires completion of an approved HCA course or equivalent nursing qualification and prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Formación

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved course for Health Care Assistants (all 8 modules) or an alternative Nursing qualification.
• Previous Health Care experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with patient activities and care as assigned by the Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical Co-Coordinator.
• Provides for patients’ personal hygiene: Bathes patients, oral care, skin care, catheter and incontinence care.
• Assists with feeding and mobility; positions and turns patients as directed by nursing staff.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
• Ensures a clean, safe environment and follows infection control measures.
• Performs duties as required and contributes to team handovers and communications.
