Job summary

Bidvest Noonan is seeking a Cleaning Operative for night shift at our meat processing and packaging facility in Watergrasshill, Cork. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.

Working hours are 22:00 to 6:00. Responsibilities include cleaning production areas and equipment, disinfecting surfaces, handling cleaning chemicals safely, and keeping accurate cleaning records with prompt reporting of issues to

• Cleaning experience preferred; full training provided.
• Valid visa to work in Ireland on a full-time basis.
• Good understanding of English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough cleaning and sanitisation of industrial environments and meat packaging areas.
• Clean and disinfect production equipment, floors, walls and surfaces to prevent contamination.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and use equipment while following safety procedures.
• Remove waste and residues according to procedures and regulations.
• Maintain cleaning records and report hygiene or safety issues to supervisors.

About The Role

Cleaning Operative - Night - Full Time

We are looking for a Cleaning Operative to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our meat processing and packaging facility, ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.

Working hours - 22:00 - 6:00

Location - Watergrasshill, co. Cork

Key Responsibilities of a Cleaning Operative:

• Carry out thorough cleaning and sanitisation of industrial environment, processing, and meat packaging areas in accordance with food safety, hygiene, and company standards.
• Clean and disinfect production equipment, machinery, floors, walls, drains, and work surfaces to prevent contamination and maintain a safe food production environment.
• Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, pressure washers, and other cleaning equipment while adhering to all health and safety procedures.
• Remove waste, and other production residues in line with company procedures and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate cleaning records and promptly report any hygiene, equipment, or safety issues to supervisors.

Key Requirements:

• Comfortable working alone and as part of a team as required for the role
• Ability to prioritise and manage an ever-changing workload
• Cleaning experience would be preferred however full training will be provided
• Valid Visa to work in Ireland on a full-time basis
• A good understanding of English, both written and spoke
• Candidates need to hold a driving licence and have must access to their own car
