Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership (CIBSE or Engineers Ireland).
• Strong technical understanding of building physics and sustainable design principles.
• Proficient in digital design tools such as Hevacomp, IES, AutoCAD, Revit, and HAP.
• Experience in a consultancy or contractor design environment.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Designing and specifying all mechanical building services systems (HVAC, water services).
• Carrying out detailed design calculations using tools such as Hevacomp, IES, HAP.
• Preparing technical specifications, drawings, and reports to company standards.
• Representing the practice at client and contractor meetings.
• Conducting site surveys, inspections, and monitoring works.
• Managing project deliverables, workload, and budget costings.
• Assisting in the technical development and mentoring of junior engineers.
