Job summary

Kappture seeks a Senior C++ Software Engineer to lead the development and modernization of the point‑of‑sale terminal platform. You will design complex terminal features, work across hardware integrations, and mentor colleagues while driving AI‑assisted engineering practices.

You will collaborate with architects, QA, Platform and Support to improve reliability, observability and testability in a mission‑critical environment, with a Galway‑based hybrid arrangement.

Qualifications

Senior C++ software engineer with extensive production experience.
Experience integrating payment devices and hardware peripherals.
Proven ability to lead design reviews and mentoring others.
Experience applying AI-assisted engineering practices in software teams.
Willingness to work in Galway hybrid arrangements and coordinate with hardware teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain high-quality C++ software for Kappture's terminal platform.
Lead complex features from discovery to production, ensuring reliability and testability.
Collaborate with hardware, QA, product and backend teams on integration and diagnostics.
Promote modern C++ practices and architecture modernization.
Drive automation, AI-assisted workflows and instrumentation for observability.
