Job summary

Intact Insurance Ireland DAC is seeking a Financial Accountant on a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role sits in the Financial Reporting team and offers visibility across end-to-end insurance reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 3+ years PQE in financial services.
• Insurance sector and IFRS17 experience preferred.
• Experience in group reporting including intercompany accounting.
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to expert level.
• Ability to adhere to strict reporting deadlines and control environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage quarterly reporting process to the Group with end-to-end ownership.
• Lead month-end expenses and accruals process with cross-functional collaboration.
• Coordinate intercompany transactions, reconciliations and balances.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and control testing.
• Drive process improvements and support finance projects.
